What does crushed salt smell like?
Crushed salt in perfume evokes a mineral or saline texture rather than a literal strong aroma from salt crystals. Beside coconut and caramel it can suggest a salted-gourmand contrast. It does not automatically imply an aquatic or seaweed note.

The material behind the impression
Salt crystals have very little smell. A salty perfume impression is composed through other aroma materials and associations; the note label is not proof that crushed salt is an aromatic ingredient in the formula.

Its place in the composition
In Golden Vanilla, crushed salt appears in the heart with coconut and caramel. It supplies a mineral counterpoint to the creamy, sweet structure before tonka bean and vanilla form the base. It remains separate from sea notes in fragrance matching.
