Layering, explained
How to layer perfume beautifully.
Layering is less about rules than balance: a base that lasts, a brighter idea on top and a thread that connects them.
01
Rich first, light last
Apply the heavier perfume (vanilla, oud, amber, woods) first, then mist the brighter one over it so the lighter notes stay on top.
02
Find a shared thread
Two perfumes with a note in common blend more seamlessly. Contrast works too, but a bridge note keeps it cohesive.
03
Fewer sprays
Two extraits together are intense. Start with one or two sprays of each, then adjust after a day of wear.
04
Test on skin
Layering changes with skin, weather and time. Try a combination on your wrists before committing to a full wear.

Questions
Layering, answered.
What is perfume layering?
Perfume layering means wearing two fragrances together to create a scent that is more personal than either one alone, usually a richer base with a brighter perfume over the top.
Which perfume should go on first?
Usually the heavier, warmer perfume goes on first and the fresher, lighter one second. Lighter notes evaporate faster, so they sit better on top.
Are these combinations tested?
No. The Layering Studio suggests pairings from each perfume’s recorded notes and how those notes typically behave. They are scent-profile suggestions, so always try them on your skin first.
Does the Any 3 for $90 offer apply?
Yes. Any three Beautys 50 mL extraits are $90, so you can choose a layering pair plus a third perfume. The offer repeats for each complete group of three.
