What does passionfruit smell like?
Passionfruit feels aromatic and tangy, often brighter than a generic tropical-fruit accord. Its sweet pulp impression can have a green or sulphurous edge that makes it distinctive. Against dark woods or creamy flowers, that tartness provides useful contrast.

The material behind the impression
Passionfruit notes are generally composed accords inspired by the fruit rather than conventional essential oils. The name describes a smell impression, not juice or seeds used in a perfume. Passion fruit and passionfruit are spelling equivalents here.

Its place in the composition
Passionfruit can make oud feel more vivid or brighten a vanilla-resin base. Bitter orange extends the tartness, frangipani softens it and benzoin gives warmth. Compare the base notes before assuming the perfume will remain light or purely fruity.
