What does mint smell like?
Mint feels cool rather than icy by necessity. Its green leafiness can be as important as the familiar menthol association, especially when citrus and herbs surround it. A mint note can make a perfume seem more spacious without turning it into a toothpaste-like scent.

The material behind the impression
Mint is a broad description covering different Mentha materials and reconstructed accords. Peppermint and spearmint have different balances of aromatic components. This page does not silently turn an unspecified mint label into a species claim; the explicit spearmint note has its own guide.

Its place in the composition
Mint is usually most noticeable in the opening. Lemon emphasises the briskness, while woods and incense create an interesting cool-against-warm contrast. The cooling impression is an olfactory description, not a claim about lowering skin temperature or a therapeutic benefit.
