What does amberwood smell like?
Amberwood usually signals a dry woody-amber impression, sometimes forceful and very diffusive. It can feel sharper and less sweet than classic resinous amber. The balance varies substantially because the label does not identify one universal material or accord.

The material behind the impression
Amberwood is a descriptive perfume category built with woody-amber aroma materials. It is not a tree called amberwood, nor proof of amber resin or ambergris. The artistic wood-and-light photograph illustrates the effect without making a botanical claim.

Its place in the composition
Amberwood gives fruit, jasmine and saffron a firm frame and can sustain a woody impression into the dry down. Musk softens it; vanilla adds warmth. It should not automatically qualify a perfume for the separate amber guide unless amber itself is listed.
