What does cardamom smell like?
Cardamom has an unusual cool-warm balance. A green, eucalyptus-like freshness sits above a softly spicy, almost sweet body. It feels more aromatic than cinnamon and less sharply peppery than black pepper, making it useful in both dry woody and sweet compositions.

The material behind the impression
Cardamom materials commonly come from Elettaria cardamomum seeds and pods. Oils and accords vary, and the note does not identify a particular crop or extraction. The green pods are a botanical reference rather than proof of a raw ingredient in a perfume.

Its place in the composition
Cardamom gives sandalwood and oud an airy spicy entrance. Vanilla rounds its sweetness; leather makes it drier. It can be noticeable from the opening and continue into the heart, linking freshness with a more substantial base without relying on citrus alone.
